Founding

Satow-rc.com was founded in March of 2011. The founder William Sajnacki was looking for a way to engage his 8 year old son in a civic project for the community. His son, almost from birth, was interested in cars, trucks, boats and rockets. When William decided to renew his passion for off-road R/C racing and rocketry, it seemed a natural extension to include his son.

Hobby Park located south west of the beautiful city of Winston Salem and it seemed the ideal place to teach the wonderful hobby of R/C racing to his son. Although the airstrip was in great condition, the off road course required quite a  bit of restoration before it could become usable for off-road racing. William decided to teach his son about the value of giving back to the community while doing something you enjoy.

Satow-rc.com was born!

Our Mission

Satow-rc is not a commercial site. We are a meeting place for people who love scale remote control racing and rocketry. We hope to become the largest society in the south east, promoting and supporting the businesses and people of the R/C world. We also hope to promote a camaraderie within our group that fosters a generous, intellectual spirit, and can spread the incredible hobby we share. We will be sponsoring races and events throughout the year. Check our News page for more information

Where do you come in?

Satow-rc.com is always looking for volunteers to assist us. We need people who are engaged with the exciting hobby of R/C for a multitude of reasons. We love to interview businesses about their products and services. We publish reviews on products created by our members.
